I am a believer in Jesus Christ, and I believe that He lived and died a perfect life. He was good in all ways imaginable; just, loving, and true. And he lived a life full of purpose–he was to one day become the beacon of hope. His death on the cross took from you and I the sins which separate us from God.
For the price of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in union with Christ Jesus our Lord. –Romans 6:23
As amazing and hard to comprehend as that may be, His death conquered what on our best days we could never hope to accomplish. Even before we begin our day, where ever that may be, God has gone before us.
For this is God, our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even to death. –Psalm 48:14
His promises make me brave and give me hope. I call this blog “He Came First” to emphasize the fact that even before I put my feet to the ground or fingers to the computer, He came first and made it entirely possible. The fun I have, which I immensely enjoy sharing about here, is thanks to Him. He should, therefore, also come first (as the first priority), and I may spell it out well now but stay for a moment and discover that I am nowhere near perfect, nor can I testify to warrior like faith–I fail daily.
Hence, He Came First.
